REGISTRATION TIPS: Once you create a username and password for any single guide, that will be your same login info to use for any guides that you qualify for--no need to make new login credentials for other guides in the future.
Just log in with the button at the top of any page (MassDogHikes.com), or anywhere on a given page that you see a button or box for log in or registration.
Any guides that are available with your membership level, will automatically be shown on your dashboard when you first log in. Again, they are all free for the time being.
What are these guides like and how are they formatted?
They are set up like an online course. Super organized and sleek design--not boring! Videos, pictures, bullet point lists, personal commentary from Brian, and more. Track your progress. Comment on each "lesson".
A Guide usually has chapters and lessons. For example, a chapter could be one destination for a dog hike. And that destination (chapter) could be broken up into 4 lessons. 2 lessons could highlight two major sections of the trail, 1 lesson could talk about the rules, and the final lesson could list all the resources such as maps, etc.
Why wouldn't I just google a destination or dog care topic?
You can. I sometimes do.
But just know this: We are an All-in-One info source and an All-for-One community--tough to find when clicking multiple listings on a google page!
I've consolidated one place to get all the info--and add to it when you see the need. And, one place to join other like-minded dog and nature lovers who want to improve through connection..
Mass Dog Hikes Online Info Guides let you know the secrets and surprise I've found...after visiting these trails a ton of times. talking to locals and getting hidden spots that only my dog walking clients knew about--not even listed as a public trail by the town.
If you didn't use a guide, and visited a property, which section would you hit if you only had a given amount of time? Would you pick the section that had the hidden cave? Or would you have hit the other side and totally missed it? Even if you did pick a "cool" section of the property, you might still not know that the cave was set back from the trail, and you might have walked right by it.
I actually include videos of the properties that I personally shot on site!
You'll get my personal recommendations such as the best picnic spot that no one knows about. Where to park if the main lot is full. What's the best time of year to hit that particular area.
I provide personal commentary in the form of videos where I address the camera and speak directly to you about how cool these places are, if they are on-leash or off-leash, etc.
How am I charged? Are any offered for FREE?
As of early 2021, all guides are free for everyone. But soon, this will change.
Later this year, some guides will remain free to everyone. Some will cost a nominal fee. Premium courses will cost a little more.
*AND...if you're a paying Mass Dog Hikes Member, you'll get all guides at no extra charge. In fact, you'll get all of our paid content at no extra charge.
So if you are a member, when you log in, all content will be available in your dashboard.
If you are not a member, when you create an account, you'll see all free content/guides in your dashboard, and, any guides that you paid for.
How do I access them?
No matter if you pay for any guides individually, if you become a member or not (where you get access to all guides and content), or if you just want to have access to our free guides, the first thing you need to do is create an account.
You can do this at with the login button at the top of every page, or on any page that offers a login or access button, or a login or registration form.
